Playtesting & Patching


Last night, Genis, Joso, Luktai and Solleto and I had a blast play(test)ing Dreamjammer for the first time! What a surprise and bliss it was to roll for the first random encounter and face The Great Cthulhu Itself!

After that wonderful and hilarious game night, I have patched the ruleset with two very small changes:

  1. the base number of successes to complete a in-game Scene was raised from 7 to 10 (the only mechanical change I have made);
  2. fixing the text of entry 2-5 on the Travel Scenes table.

LIGHTKEEPER TIP: one of key features for running this game was pacing it towards finding the giant blue bird after every major Scene. That helped keeping the players' interest and sense of purpose in the game. As with all RPGs, a game's pace is really important.

The patched version is already available, but I kept the original, unpatched version there too. The main page now mentions the Discord nicknames of the people who contributed to this project. My most sincere thanks to all of you, guys! :)
